Contact & Support
Questions, corrections and partnership requests all land in the same inbox.
Email us
The fastest way to reach us is support@dixonappstudio.com. We answer most messages within two business days.
If you're reporting a calculator problem, include the page name, the numbers you entered and the result you expected. That's usually enough for us to reproduce it the same day.
Corrections and data updates
Prices and code-recommended R-values move. If you have a supplier quote or a code reference that contradicts something on this site, send it over — we update the underlying data files rather than patching individual pages, so a good correction improves every page at once.
Reporting a wrong number
This is the message we most want to receive. Every cost figure and material property on the site lives in a shared data file, so a correction backed by a supplier quote, a manufacturer spec sheet or a code reference gets applied once and improves every page that uses it.
What helps: the page URL, the figure you think is wrong, what it should be, and where that comes from. What does not help much: a different number with no source, because national averages legitimately differ from any one local quote.
Suggesting a calculator
If you measured something for a job and could not find a tool that did the arithmetic, tell us. Several of the calculators here exist because somebody described the spreadsheet they had been keeping.
Useful requests describe the inputs you would have to hand at the time and the number you actually need out — the second half is the part most tools get wrong.
Press and partnerships
For media questions, data requests or licensing, use the same address and say what you need and by when. We can usually provide the underlying figures behind any table on the site.
We do not sell placement in calculator results or guide recommendations, and we do not accept paid links. Product blocks are affiliate links, disclosed on every page that carries them, and nothing a manufacturer pays changes a calculated result.
What we can't do
We can't quote your job, size a mechanical system, act as your energy auditor, or approve anything for permit. For work that has to satisfy an inspector, use a licensed contractor or a certified energy rater.
We also can't tell you whether a specific contractor's price is fair without seeing the scope. What we can do is give you the national average for that job and the questions worth asking — whether removal, air sealing and baffles are included is usually where the difference between two quotes actually lives.
